A Bastard Resistance draws on historical events as seen through the eyes of Patrick Morkan, a NYC lawyer and fighter pilot, as he tells the story of Cushing and the men and women, especially G-2 Lt. Carmen Duran, inside a guerrilla network on the Japanese-held island of Cebu, where courage, love, faith, and betrayal collide with wartime ferocity. Amidst this struggle, Morkan finds a secret Order on a dead officer that reveals corruption at the highest echelons of command. He could use it as leverage to get supplies from MacArthur’s HQ...but not without risking his life.
